ADP — Employee Logins, Pay Stubs and W-2 Access

The vendor is not the employer

One sentence from ADP’s own support page settles most of this.

Founded in 1949, the company runs from 1 ADP Blvd, Roseland, New Jersey. It publishes the scale figures itself: 1.1 million-plus clients, over 42 million workers paid worldwide, 140-plus countries, and roughly 1 in 6 workers in the U.S. paid through its systems. Your employer is ADP's customer. You are not.

That is why its support-for-employees page, checked 19 August 2026, says ADP cannot provide you with a registration code, and that for your protection ADP is not authorised to reset your portal access. It is a privacy control rather than an obstruction. It also makes ringing ADP about a locked account the most reliably wasted call in this subject: 844-227-5237 is the login and support line, and 800-225-5237 is sales, not support.

Everything that unblocks a person sits with the employer's payroll or HR contact — the registration code, the password reset, the account unlocking, and whether online access was ever switched on.

Which product you are on, and why my.adp.com usually still works

ADP lists 3 employee logins. MyADP is my.adp.com. ADP Workforce Now is workforcenow.adp.com. RUN Powered by ADP — the small-business product — sends its employees to my.adp.com as well. That last one is the detail that catches people out: the product name your employer uses is often not the address you need, and searching the product name lands you on the administrator page instead.

Administrator logins are a separate list and include ADP Portal, ADP TotalSource, ADP Vantage HCM and ezLaborManager. If a page is asking for an administrator credential, it is the wrong door.

Registration runs the same way whichever product sits behind it: a registration code issued by the employer, an identity check, then a User ID, security questions and an activation code. iPayStatements is the pay statement and W-2 module rather than a separate site, and ADP Mobile Solutions uses the same credentials as the web rather than its own account.

What an employer-issued registration code looks like

Codes are usually employer-specific strings rather than random digits. AutoZone's own published instructions for former AutoZoners tell leavers to register at MyADP with the code AutoZone-MyADP, warn that the emailed verification code expires after 15 minutes, and require that the details entered match the payroll record's legal name.

That example is instructive twice over. The code came from the employer's document, not from ADP — exactly as the support page says it must. And the document is hosted on a benefits vendor's domain rather than the employer's own site, which is where a great many of these instructions end up and why they are so hard to find when you need them.

W-2s and pay stubs after you leave

Losing portal access at termination is common, and the timing is set by the employer rather than by ADP. The January 31 furnishing deadline for Form W-2 applies regardless of whether you can still sign in, so a closed account is not a reason to go without one — it is a reason to contact the former employer's payroll team.

The reliable move is to download pay statements and the W-2 as PDFs before the last day. Loan and rental applications routinely ask for 6 to 12 months of statements, and having them saved removes the question of who controls the portal entirely.

What this site does not do
