Privacy Policy

This site has no accounts, no login and no user registration. We do not ask for or store employee identification numbers, portal passwords, Social Security numbers or payroll credentials, and we never will. What is collected is limited to standard web analytics and the cookies our advertising partners set, both of which are described in full below along with how to opt out.

What we don't collect

The important part first.

There is no login form on this site, no account system and no user registration. We do not ask for, receive or store: employee identification numbers, portal usernames or passwords, Social Security numbers, bank or card details, survey validation codes, or pay records of any kind.

If a page anywhere asks you for those and claims to be us, it is not. The only information we ever receive is what you choose to put in the contact form, and we ask you not to include credentials there either.

What is collected

Standard web analytics: pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, and how you arrived. This is aggregate traffic data used to understand which pages are useful and which are not. It is not used to identify individuals.

Contact form submissions: whatever you type, together with the reply address you provide. These are retained only as long as needed to deal with the message.

Server logs, which record IP addresses as a normal function of running a website and are kept on a short rotation.

Advertising and cookies

This site carries advertising served by third-party networks, including Google. Those networks may set cookies and use device identifiers to serve and measure advertising, including advertising based on your prior visits to this and other sites.

You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google through its ads settings, and from many other networks through the Digital Advertising Alliance's choices tool. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings — the site works without them, though the advertising you see will be less relevant rather than absent.

Advertisers have no access to anything beyond what their own cookies collect. They do not receive contact form submissions, and there is nothing else here to give them.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you rights to know what is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of any sale of personal information — we do not sell personal information.

In practice we hold very little: analytics data that does not identify you, and any contact form message you have sent. To exercise any of these rights, use the contact page and say what you are asking for.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something through the contact form, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

This policy is reviewed alongside the rest of the site on the verification cycle described in our editorial policy, and the date in the byline reflects when it was last checked. Material changes will be reflected here rather than announced separately.

Questions about any of this go through the contact page.
