No sweepstakes appeared on the page either. The Quesarito tells a similar story: Taco Bell absorbed its own secret menu item in 2014, deleted it in 2023, and put it back in December 2025.

Checked on 19 August 2026, tellthebell.com presented three inputs and nothing else: a store number, labelled as the one found at the top of your receipt; a date, as month, day and year dropdowns offering 2025 and 2026; and a time, as hour, minute and AM or PM. There was no field for a 16-digit survey code, no link offering an alternative for receipts without one, and no mention of a sweepstakes, a prize or a deadline anywhere on the page. The footer credits Service Management Group, the vendor behind the McDonald's, Wendy's and KFC surveys as well.
That is worth stating plainly because the published guidance is close to unanimous the other way. Both descriptions can be true across time — survey front ends get rebuilt, and receipt formats differ by franchisee — but a guide that states the code length as settled fact is describing a page it has not opened recently.
The practical rule is the same either way: read the invitation printed on your own receipt before you start, and if a cash sweepstakes is running, the mail-in entry route exists precisely so that no purchase is required to enter it.
The Quesarito went official, then vanished, then came back
Taco Bell has a habit of absorbing its own secret menu, and the Quesarito is the case study. It began as a customer hack — the earliest documented versions were Chipotle orders around 2011 — was tested by Taco Bell in 2013, and joined the official menu in 2014. In 2020 it retreated to app-exclusive status. In 2023 it was removed entirely. On 18 December 2025 it returned for a limited run at $6.70 and 570 calories.
The Cheesy Gordita Crunch has taken the same road in the other direction, rotating on and off the official menu. So the honest answer to whether the Quesarito is a secret menu item is that it depends which year you ask, and any guide listing it as a permanent hack is describing a moment rather than a rule.
Prices split in two directions at once
The Crunchwrap Supreme has gone from $4.99 in 2024 to about $6.89 in 2026, a rise near 38% and one of the steeper moves in the sector. Against that, the Luxe Value Menu was announced as ten items at $3 or less, which is an unusually deep value tier and one of the few published to the cent by the company itself. Cantina Chicken tacos are priced at $3.19 by the company, and published figures for a bowl run around $7.99 to $8.39.
So Taco Bell's pricing has split rather than simply risen, and what you pay depends more on which tier you order from than on where you are. Doritos Locos Tacos and the bean burrito anchor the cheap end; the Cantina line anchors the top. Taco Bell sits under Yum! Brands and is headquartered in Irvine, California, but each franchisee sets local prices and the app frequently carries figures the in-store board does not.
