Not the sign above the door. The Wendy's Company means corporate. Anything else — Meritage Hospitality Group, or one of several hundred smaller operators — means a franchisee employs you, and weconnect.wendys.com will reject you however often you reset the password.

Franchise staff: ask your general manager for the provider name
Ask for two things: the provider and the company or client ID. Most systems refuse to create an account without the second, and the manager is the only person holding it.
Register before you try to log in
ADP, Paycor and Paychex treat registration as a step separate from signing in. An account-not-found message usually means it was skipped, not that the password is wrong.
Download every stub as it posts
Save each as a PDF. Access commonly ends around 90 days after your last shift, and recovering stubs afterwards means a written request to your former employer.

Wendy's is the only one of the three whose corporate system has a public paper trail — Oracle announced it. That clarity covers 5% of restaurants and almost none of the people searching.
Why three payroll vendors all advertise a Wendy's product
The clearest evidence that no single Wendy's portal exists is not published by Wendy's. It is published by payroll vendors competing for the same customers.
Paycor runs a page headed "Paycor's Partnership with Wendy's Franchises". AllianceHCM runs one headed "Trusted by many Wendy's locations across the U.S.", telling owners that "Wendy's franchisees across the country already trust AllianceHCM". Proliant runs "Wendy's Franchise HR & Payroll, Simplified". Three competitors, three near-identical landing pages, and none claiming to be the approved provider — because there is no such designation to claim.
The structure behind that sits in the accounts. The Wendy's Company's Form 10-K for the year ended 28 December 2025 counts 5,969 restaurants in the US: 423 company-operated and 5,546 franchisee-operated, with company restaurants at close to 6% of the worldwide system. weconnect.wendys.com serves that 6%. For everyone else the legal employer is the franchise group, and the group buys its own software.
Those groups are substantial businesses. Meritage Hospitality Group puts its own count at 375 Wendy's restaurants and advertises jobs through Workday — a system on no list of "the Wendy's employee portal". A two-restaurant owner in the next county bought something cheaper and different.
Oracle announced the move to Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM on 2 August 2023, describing a single global HR system for the company. That is accurate and narrow: it unified Wendy's own HR, not its franchisees'.
