- HelpMeLogin is not Kroger. This is an independent guide. It hosts no login form and never will.
- We are not tax advisers. The IRS is the authority on your return, not this page.
- Never enter your Social Security number on a page reached from a text message or a search ad. Several sites ranking for Kroger W-2 terms are not Kroger.
- Do not fabricate a W-2. Filing on invented figures is a federal offence. Form 4852 is the legal substitute.
Your Kroger W-2 is in MyInfo at ess.kroger.com, not in MyTime, which handles schedules only. Kroger disables portal access at termination rather than after a grace period, so former associates go through HR. Federal law requires the form by January 31, which falls on a Sunday for the 2026 tax year and moves to February 1, 2027. After that the Internal Revenue Service will chase it.
What you need
10 itemsHow to get it
Go to MyInfo, not MyTime
Pay and tax documents live in MyInfo at ess.kroger.com. MyTime is scheduling and will never show a W-2 however many times you sign in. Same EUID, different system — and this is the commonest reason a Kroger W-2 search goes nowhere.
Download it before your last shift, not after
Access is switched off at termination rather than after 30 or 90 days. Save the year's stubs as PDFs while your EUID still works, the final pay stub above all: it carries the year-to-date figures Form 4852 needs.
If you have already left, go to HR rather than the login page
The portal will refuse you and no password reset changes that. Ask your old store's HR office to raise a former-associate records request. The duty to furnish the form does not depend on your login working.
Check the address Kroger holds
A form posted to an address you left months ago goes back to the employer. Confirm it before concluding nothing was sent, especially if you moved during the year.
After the February date, call the IRS on 800-829-1040
Have ready your name, address, phone number, Social Security number and dates of employment, Kroger's details, and wages and withholding estimated from your final pay stub. The Internal Revenue Service contacts the employer for you and asks for the form, then sends Form 4852.
File anyway, and amend if the real figures differ
A missing W-2 is not an extension. Attach Form 4852 to your Form 1040 and expect a slower refund while the estimates are checked. If the real form differs, the IRS says you must file Form 1040-X.
If something goes wrong
I am in MyTime and there is no W-2
- Cause
- MyTime is scheduling only
- Fix
- Tax documents are in MyInfo at ess.kroger.com. Same EUID, different system.
I left Kroger and cannot sign in
- Cause
- Access is disabled at termination
- Fix
- Ask your old store's HR office for a former-associate records request. Your login is gone; the employer's obligation is not.
A guide gave me a Kroger W-2 phone number
- Cause
- Third-party guides publish several, and they conflict
- Fix
- Confirm any number with your store before giving out identifying details. Numbers on guides are not necessarily Kroger's.
It is February and nothing has arrived
- Cause
- Wrong address on file, or not yet sent
- Fix
- Get the address confirmed, then call 800-829-1040. The IRS contacts Kroger and asks for the form.
Box 1 is lower than my gross pay
- Cause
- Pre-tax deductions reduce taxable wages
- Fix
- Expected. Box 1 reports taxable wages after pre-tax items, so it sits below the gross on your stub.
I worked at two Kroger banners in one year
- Cause
- Same employer, different divisions
- Fix
- Unlike a franchise situation this is one employer, so expect one W-2 covering both. If two arrive, both go on your return.
What’s fixed, and what actually varies
One company running one system for more than 403,000 people makes Kroger more predictable than any franchised chain. What is unsettled is what a former associate should do.
Fixed
- W-2s must be furnished by January 31 — federal law, not company policy
- A weekend moves it: February 1, 2027 for tax year 2026
- The IRS line is 800-829-1040, and it contacts the employer for you
- Form 4852 lets you file without it, on final pay stub figures
- Form 1040-X amends the return if the real form later differs
- W-2s are in MyInfo at ess.kroger.com, never in MyTime
- One EUID covers Ralphs, Fred Meyer and every other banner
- Access is disabled at termination, not after a grace period
Varies
- Which former-associate route works — the published guides do not agree
- How long a records request takes in January, HR's busiest month
- Whether the form arrives in the portal, by post, or both
- Whether a reissued copy carries a fee
Still employed: sign into MyInfo and look. Already left: skip the portal, because it will not let you in. Go to your old store's HR office, and treat any phone number from a third-party guide as unverified.
How Kroger compares
Against the franchised chains, Kroger's single-employer structure makes this markedly simpler.
| Chain | Where the W-2 lives | After you leave | If it never arrives |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kroger | MyInfo — ess.kroger.com | Access disabled at termination | Identical IRS route |
| McDonald's | account.mcd.com or a franchise system | Often ends at resignation | Identical IRS route |
| KFC | UKG Pro, ADP or Workday | Varies by operator | Identical IRS route |
Where the form lives, and how long you can still reach it, are the only real differences.
Kroger has one answer for everyone, which McDonald's and KFC cannot offer because their franchisees are the legal employers. The trade-off is the sharp cut-off at termination, so the planning burden falls before you leave rather than after.
Download it before your last shift
Kroger disables portal access at termination. Not after 30 days, not after 90. The day your employment ends, MyInfo stops recognising your EUID, and that is the single fact this page exists to put in front of anyone thinking about leaving.
The consequence lands in January. Someone who left in September assumes they can sign in to fetch a W-2, cannot, and then works through a former-associate records request during the busiest month of the payroll year. It is recoverable, and slower than it needed to be. Saving every pay stub as a PDF while you still have access solves it twice: you keep the records, and the final pay stub of the year carries the year-to-date wages and withholding Form 4852 needs if the W-2 never turns up.
What makes it worse is that the guides ranking for this search do not agree on what a former associate should do. One tells you to try ess.kroger.com anyway and ring an HR line. Another sends you to a separate historical-records address and quotes a different number. A third quotes neither. None of those routes appears on a Kroger page we could open and read — reason enough not to hand your Social Security number to a number found on a blog.
The Kroger Co. reported more than 403,000 full- and part-time employees and 2,697 supermarkets as of January 31, 2026, trading as Ralphs, Fred Meyer and a long list of other banners. Being the person who does not need to file a records request in January is the better position.
Questions people ask
Where is my Kroger W-2 online?
In MyInfo at ess.kroger.com, using your EUID. Not in MyTime, which covers schedules only — that confusion is where most of these searches stall.
Can I get my W-2 after leaving Kroger?
Yes, but not through the portal: access is disabled at termination. Ask your old store's HR office to raise a former-associate records request.
Which phone number should I use?
Third-party guides quote several different Kroger W-2 numbers and they do not match. Confirm one through your store rather than trusting a guide.
When must Kroger send it?
By January 31, moving to the next business day at a weekend — February 1, 2027 for the 2026 tax year. Allow about 2 weeks for post.
When can the IRS start chasing it?
Once February is out. Contact the employer first, then call 800-829-1040. The IRS contacts them for you, requests the form, and sends Form 4852 so you can still file.
What if it never arrives?
Confirm your address, then call 800-829-1040. The IRS contacts Kroger for you, asks for the form and sends you Form 4852.
Can I file without it?
Yes. Form 4852 attaches to your Form 1040 with estimated figures. If the real form differs, the IRS says you must amend with Form 1040-X.
