- HelpMeLogin is not Target and is not your employer. It hosts no login form, cannot reset a password and cannot release a pay stub or a W-2. Only Target can.
- No legitimate portal charges a fee to show a pay stub already there. Never enter your Social Security number on a page reached from a text or a search ad.
- Do not use a pay stub generator. These searches are dominated by companies selling fabricated documents, several pitching the product inside what reads as a how-to guide.
- Submitting one to a landlord, a lender or a benefits office is fraud — the checkable kind, because Target participates in verification through The Work Number.
Target pay stubs are in Workday, at wd5.myworkday.com/target, reached through MyTime rather than held in MyTime itself — which is why team members open the portal they use weekly for schedules and find nothing at all. Records post one to two days before payday, so an empty stub on payday morning is usually timing rather than a fault with your account. Both portals are listed by the company itself.
What you need
13 itemsHow to get it
Go through MyTime into Workday
Sign in at mytime.target.com with your Team Member Number, then open Workday at wd5.myworkday.com/target and find the Pay section. No pay stubs are held in MyTime. That one wrong turn drives most Target pay complaints, and it is navigation rather than credentials.
Try the number at both lengths if it is rejected
Ten digits is what Target's own team member services page describes; the 8-digit figure comes from team members, not from any guide. Both are in print, so if one is rejected, try it padded with leading zeros.
Read the three numbers that matter
Gross is what you earned before anything comes out. Net is what lands in your account. Year-to-date is the running total, and the figure a landlord or lender cares about — a single fortnight tells them little.
Download as PDF, every time
Save each stub to your own storage as it appears. The final stub of the year matters most: it carries the year-to-date wages and withholding Form 4852 needs if a W-2 goes missing.
If early wage access is involved, reconcile three figures
Where it is offered, money can reach you before the pay period closes, so what landed may not match the net figure shown. Compare the advance record, the Workday stub and your bank statement.
For proof of income, ask what's accepted
Employment verification runs through The Work Number, which issues a letter covering employment and income. Landlords and lenders frequently prefer that to loose stubs — one document often replaces six.
If something goes wrong
I'm in MyTime and there are no pay stubs
- Cause
- MyTime is scheduling and time tracking
- Fix
- Pay lives in Workday, reached from MyTime. No password reset fixes it.
My Team Member Number is rejected
- Cause
- Published lengths disagree
- Fix
- Ten digits per Target's own page; the 8-digit figure comes from team members. Try it padded with leading zeros.
No stub on payday morning
- Cause
- Records post 1 to 2 days ahead and can lag
- Fix
- Check again the following day. If the payment landed but no stub appeared, raise it on 800-394-1885.
My deposit doesn't match the net figure
- Cause
- Early wage access, if you use it
- Fix
- Advances move money before the period closes. Reconcile the advance record, the Workday stub and your bank statement together.
A landlord wants six months of stubs
- Cause
- They may accept something simpler
- Fix
- Ask whether a Work Number verification letter works. It usually does, and it is one document rather than twelve.
A site is charging me to download my pay stub
- Cause
- That is a generator, not Target
- Fix
- Close it. Employment is verified through The Work Number, so a fabricated stub is checkable against the real record. The genuine one is free in Workday.
What’s fixed, and what actually varies
Target runs its own stores, so the systems are identical everywhere. What varies is timing, and what the person asking for proof will accept.
Fixed
- Pay stubs live in Workday, reached from MyTime
- MyTime covers scheduling and time tracking only
- Records post 1 to 2 days before payday
- Gross is before deductions, net is after, year-to-date is the running annual total
Varies
- Whether your Team Member Number is quoted as 8 digits or 10
- Whether early wage access is offered at your location, and who provides it
- How long Workday access survives after you leave
- Which deduction codes appear, since benefit elections differ
- Whether a lender wants stubs, a verification letter, or both
If a stub is missing, check which system you are in first. Nothing in MyTime will ever show one. If the payment landed but no stub appeared after a day, raise it on 800-394-1885.
How Target compares
Across the large retailers here, the pattern is the same and the routes differ.
| Chain | Where stubs live | Pay cycle | Proof of income route |
|---|---|---|---|
| Target | Workday, reached from MyTime | Biweekly | The Work Number, or stubs from Workday |
| Lowe's | My HR → See My Payslip | Biweekly | The Work Number, employer code 11116 |
| Walmart | Me → Money → Paystub | Biweekly | The Work Number, or OneWalmart stubs |
Pay cycles and portal routes are set by each employer and change without notice.
All three separate scheduling from pay, and all three catch people out the same way. Lowe's is the most useful on proof of income because it publishes employer code 11116; Target and Walmart both participate in verification but you have to ask.
The system you open weekly is the wrong one
Target team members open MyTime constantly — the schedule lives there, and checking a shift is a several-times-a-week habit. Pay stubs are a fortnightly concern at most. So muscle memory points at the portal that cannot help, and finding nothing there reads as a broken account rather than a wrong turn.
It is not broken. MyTime handles scheduling; Workday, at wd5.myworkday.com/target, holds pay. The company's own team member services listing names both, so the boundary is documented — just not anywhere a person looks while standing in the break room. The two connect, so the fix is one click, not a password reset.
The same shape recurs across this subject. Kroger's MyTime does not hold pay either; that lives in MyInfo. Starbucks partners search Partner Hub for a W-2 that is in Workday. Large employers separate scheduling from payroll for good reasons, then leave staff to find the boundary themselves.
Two Target-specific wrinkles are worth carrying. The first is the identifier. A 10-digit team member number is what Target's own page describes for Paperless Employee; the 8-digit figure comes from team members describing MyTime, and six third-party guides checked in August 2026 give no digit count at all. If one is rejected, try the other before concluding the account is locked.
The second is early wage access. Where it is offered, money can arrive before the pay period closes, which makes the stub harder to reconcile against a bank statement. Third-party reports name DailyPay as the provider; Target's own pages, checked on 19 August 2026, name none. Because Target Corporation operates every store itself from Minneapolis, Minnesota, none of this varies by location.
Questions people ask
Where are Target pay stubs?
In Workday at wd5.myworkday.com/target, reached from MyTime. MyTime covers scheduling, which is why people look there and find nothing.
Is the Team Member Number 8 digits or 10?
Sources disagree. Its own team member services page describes 10 digits; the 8-digit figure comes from team members, not from any guide. Try both.
When do pay stubs appear?
One to two days before payday. If nothing shows on payday morning, check again the next day before raising it.
My deposit doesn't match my net pay
If early wage access is in play, money can arrive before the period closes. Compare the advance record, the Workday stub and your bank statement.
Does Target use DailyPay?
Third-party reports say so. Checked on 19 August 2026, Target's own team member pages name no provider, so treat the vendor name as unconfirmed.
How do I prove my Target income to a landlord?
Often a Work Number verification letter rather than stubs. Ask the landlord or lender what they will accept — one document frequently replaces months of payslips.
Why is my net pay so much lower than gross?
Deductions. Withholding accounts for most of it, and pre-tax items reduce taxable pay as well as take-home. Each is itemised on the stub.
How long should I keep pay stubs?
At least three years, downloaded as PDFs rather than left in the portal. The year-end stub carries the figures needed if a W-2 goes missing.
