Say shot or swirl first
A shot is unsweetened and non-dairy; a swirl is sweetened and contains dairy, mocha excepted. On a medium that is 5 to 10 calories against 150 to 160. Hazelnut is the one name Dunkin' prints on both lists, so an unqualified request hands the choice to the crew.
Order the build, never the nickname
No crew is trained on names invented by guides. The Charli is a Cold Brew with whole milk and three pumps of caramel swirl, and read out that way it works almost anywhere, while the name on its own usually gets a blank look.
Check the base is still sold
Most published lists start from a frozen drink. The current list runs to four: Coffee Chiller, Coolatta, Frozen Chocolate and Frozen Matcha Latte. The Coffee Coolatta went in 2017 and the flavour range has narrowed since.
Total it in the app
Dunkin' is franchised almost to the last store, so no national price exists for a pump of anything. With your own store selected, the app shows only the shots and swirls it carries and totals them as you add.

Open the Dunkin' app, pick your own store and build the drink there. It lists the shots and swirls that store carries and totals the price as you add pumps. If hazelnut appears under flavor shots and nowhere under swirls, no phrasing at the counter will produce one.

Dunkin' is the quiet one. It never uses the words secret menu, yet it shipped a viral cookie butter order as the Cookie Butter Cloud Latte on 5 November 2025 and dropped it by 8 January 2026.
A first-party page, four years out of date
No page here claims a secret menu, and none denies one. What it has instead is a single useful document with a hole in it.
The Dunkin' newsroom sets out the difference between a flavor shot and a flavor swirl. Shots are unsweetened, sugar-free and non-dairy, adding 5 to 10 calories to a medium. Swirls are sweet and creamy, all containing dairy except the mocha one, and add 150 to 160. It names six shots — vanilla, hazelnut, toasted almond, blueberry, raspberry and coconut — and four swirls: caramel, French Vanilla, hazelnut and Mocha. Seasonal flavours such as Peppermint Mocha and Butter Pecan are, it adds, almost always swirls.
Hazelnut sits on both lists, which is where every guide stops. Checked on 19 August 2026, the swirl half is stale. Tasting Table reports the hazelnut swirl discontinued in 2022 and says vanilla is now the only flavour offered in both forms. The Takeout devotes a piece to its disappearance and notes there was never an announcement. Dunkin's own release of 4 August 2014 had introduced the Hazelnut Swirl as a permanent addition to the menu; it lasted about eight years. The two also disagree on Butter Pecan: Dunkin' files it as seasonal, Tasting Table as one of four permanent swirls.
It does watch what customers invent. Anthony Epter, its vice-president of menu innovation, said in October 2025 that after seeing fans make cookie butter hacks it was time to make one official. It lasted nine weeks.
The rest is local. Canton, Massachusetts is head office, under Inspire Brands, and franchisees run all but a few dozen US stores. The 10,000th of them opened in Darien, Illinois in October 2025, a milestone the brand marked rather than a total it publishes.
