Dunkin’ Menu Prices — Eight Prices for One Donut

One classic donut carries eight different published Dunkin' menu prices, $1.09, $1.39, $1.43, $1.49, $1.79, $2.11, $2.29 and $2.86, across seven price sites checked on 19 August 2026, one of which prints two of them on the same page. Franchisees run all but a few dozen US stores, and the estate passed 10,000 in October 2025, so scatter is genuine. The single price the company states nationally is the $6 Meal Deal, and it attaches the words participation may vary.

Dunkin' — the $6 Meal Deal announcement The company's own wording: a sandwich, Hash Browns and a medium coffee for $6, plus participation may vary.

How it works

  1. Start from the only price the company has stated

The company announced a $6 Meal Deal in August 2024, a Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sandwich with Hash Browns and a medium hot or iced coffee, and brought it back for spring 2026. A company figure with a date outranks anything a price site averaged.

  2. Read the rider on that same announcement

It says participation may vary, that it is a limited time offer, and that it cannot be combined with other offers. A national advertiser declining to guarantee its own national price answers most of this page, and no table reprints it.

  3. Price the order in the app with your store selected

The app quotes the store you pick rather than an average of copies. That is the figure you will be charged, and the only one tied to a building.

  4. Test a list against itself, and prefer a range to a point

A single tracker gives a Classic Glazed Donut at $1.43 in one place and $1.39 in another, on one page. At a chain this franchised a range is the honest shape: three sites give $1.39 to $1.79, $2.11 to $2.86 and $1.09 to $2.11. Two give a single number.

If something goes wrong

I paid more than every list said

Cause
No published list is tied to your store
Fix
Normal rather than an error. Price it in the app with your store selected; that subtotal is the only figure describing your store.

The $6 Meal Deal was not available

Cause
Participation is a franchisee decision
Fix
The release says participation may vary and calls it a limited time offer. A store can decline it without announcing that it has.

Two sites differ by more than double on one donut

Cause
Point figures sampled at different stores on different dates
Fix
$1.09 and $2.86 can both be true of real stores; neither is true of the chain. Prefer a source that publishes a range.

A site's own numbers do not agree

Cause
Item pages and summary tables are generated separately
Fix
A tracker printing the Classic Glazed at $1.43 and $1.39 on one page has stopped checking. Where that happens, discard the table.

The airport store charged far more

Cause
Captive-audience siting
Fix
Two trackers say so directly, naming airport and urban stores as dearer than suburban ones. That accounts for much of the top end.

What’s fixed, and what actually varies

Real scatter is there to report here, which is why a single confident number for a donut is the wrong answer.

Fixed

  • Franchisees set prices; Dunkin' publishes no national list
  • The chain was entirely franchised until February 2022
  • The $6 Meal Deal was company-announced, with participation may vary attached
  • Dunkin' Rewards pays 10 points per $1, and 12 with Boosted Status
  • Redemptions begin at 150 points, roughly $15 spent

Varies

  • The shelf price of every item, store by store
  • Whether your store is running the advertised meal deal at all
  • Which seasonal and test-market items are on sale, and at what price
  • Whether app pricing matches the counter board
  • Which published list you land on, and how stale it is

Build the order in the app without paying, then compare the subtotal against the $6 the company advertised. Well above it means a franchisee that did not take the promotion.

How Dunkin' compares

Menu-price tables fail differently at different chains, and ownership decides how.

McDonald'sThe franchisee13,062 of 13,706 — about 95%Genuine spread, plus lists missing its own $8 meal

Ownership counts from company filings and franchise disclosure documents, checked 23 August 2026.

Dunkin' has the strongest excuse of the four for a wide range, and gets the worst reporting. Chipotle's company ownership means a wide range proves the tracker wrong. At Dunkin' the market really is scattered, so the failure is the opposite: certainty where there is none.

A chain with real scatter, reported as if it had none

Dunkin' announced on 8 October 2025 that its 10,000th US store had opened in Darien, Illinois, putting the brand among only four chains past that mark. That is a milestone the company marked rather than a running count it publishes; no current US total is issued by Dunkin' or by Inspire Brands. Almost every store belongs to a franchisee. The brand was entirely franchised until February 2022, when Inspire Brands bought 31 units in Ohio from SMB Donuts, its first company-operated restaurants in five years, which President Scott Murphy framed as skin in the game alongside franchisees. A few dozen against 10,000 does not change who sets a donut price.

So variation here is genuine and unusually large. What the sources do with it is the problem. Seven were checked on 19 August 2026. A classic donut appears at $1.09, $1.39 to $1.79, $1.49 to $2.29, $2.11, $2.11 to $2.86 and $1.09 to $2.11, and one of them manages $1.43 and $1.39 for the same glazed donut on one page. A dozen runs from $9.99 at the bottom of one range to $28.11 at the top of another; a small hot coffee is $2.02, $2.29, or $2.09 to $3.74.

Most of them know why. One says plainly that Dunkin' is a franchised chain, so each owner sets prices within a range; another names state and franchise location, putting urban and airport stores above suburban ones. Having written that, they print a point figure anyway.

Two things hold nationally. The $6 Meal Deal was announced by the company with its contents stated, a Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sandwich with Hash Browns and a medium coffee, under the rider that participation may vary. And Dunkin' Rewards, run from Canton, Massachusetts, pays 10 points per dollar, 12 for three months after 12 visits in a calendar month, redeemable from 150 points. Those come from the programme rather than a till, which is why they can be stated.

Questions people ask

How much is a Dunkin' donut?

Seven price sites checked on 19 August 2026 give eight figures between $1.09 and $2.86. The chain is franchised, so no national price exists, and the app with your store selected is the only accurate answer.

How much is a dozen donuts?

The published ranges run $9.99 to $28.11, with point figures of $13.99 and $18.74 between them — nearly three times over, for the same box.

Does Dunkin' publish any price itself?

One. The $6 Meal Deal was company-announced with its contents named, and even that carries the line that participation may vary.

Why do the price sites disagree so much?

Each franchisee sets prices and the sites sample different stores on different dates, then publish a point figure. Two of those figures, $1.43 and $1.39, sit on one page for the same donut.

How does Dunkin' Rewards work?

10 points per dollar, rising to 12 for three months once you visit 12 times in a calendar month — what the programme calls Boosted Status. The lowest redemption is 150 points.

Is it still called Dunkin' Donuts?

Not officially — the company dropped Donuts from the name in 2019. Several price sites still trade under the old Dunkin' Donuts name, which indicates how often they are updated.
