- A prize nobody entered for. The Federal Trade Commission named this pitch in October 2021: a text claiming a won raffle for a free Amazon product, then a card number to cover postage.
- Any fee at all. No genuine Amazon programme charges to release a reward.
- A login screen reached from a message. Fake surveys harvest credentials, card numbers and addresses. Type the address instead.
- A countdown. Timers and stock warnings are the standard framing. Real research invitations carry no clock.
- A near-miss domain. The panel lives at panel.amazon.com and nowhere else.
Amazon runs no receipt survey. There is no code on an Amazon invoice and no address to enter one at. The only Amazon programme that pays for receipts is the Amazon Shopper Panel, and it is invitation-based, capped at $10 a month, and refuses Amazon's own receipts — the detail no guide repeats. Anything else promising a reward for an Amazon survey is that panel described badly, an unrelated researcher paying in Amazon credit, or a phishing lure.

Four unrelated things get called an Amazon survey. The Amazon Shopper Panel pays for other retailers' receipts. Vine sends products to reviewers Amazon selects. Mechanical Turk is paid microwork, closed to new customers from 30 July 2026. A review request under a delivery pays nothing.
Check the address first
The panel sits at panel.amazon.com and receipts go to receipts@panel.amazon.com. Any other address trading a survey reward for an Amazon sign-in is not Amazon.
Join the waitlist, not a sign-up form
There is no application form and no way to request an invitation. The app adds an account to the queue. Eligibility is 18 or over, in seven countries.
Read Amazon's rate, not a guide's
The rate has been cut three times. The company's own receipt FAQ gave two tiers on 19 August 2026, $0.70 and $0.10. Guides updated in 2024 still show three, at $1.00, $0.25 and $0.15.
Send receipts that qualify
Under 30 days old, showing the retailer, the date, the total and one itemised line. Emailed ones must sit in the body, not an attachment. Receipts from restaurants, fuel stops and hotels are excluded, as are handwritten ones and anything from Amazon.

- Receipts from grocery, drug, convenience, dollar, beauty or pet shops pay $0.10 each, so the cap needs 100. Electronics, clothing, sports and department stores pay $0.70, needing 15.

panel.amazon.com serves its receipt and reward pages to anyone, so the rate can be read first-hand in a minute. The amazon.com article titled Amazon Consumer Surveys is the opposite: indexed and real, but robots.txt blocks automated retrieval, so nobody can quote it, this one included.

Kroger states its reward and pays everyone. Target states nothing, so guesses run $25 to $1,500. Amazon is a third case: nothing to state, because no survey exists.
Why a company this large has no receipt survey
Every other survey covered here exists because a retailer wants store-level feedback: which location, which till, which queue. Amazon has no queue. The transaction is already logged against an account, the delivery is timestamped, and the product carries a review field underneath it. A printed code redeemed at a separate address would tell Amazon nothing it does not already hold.
That explains why the search term behaves oddly. Search a fast-food brand and the word survey and a dozen near-identical guide sites appear, each with an invented prize figure. Search Amazon and the results collapse into three unrelated things: the Amazon Shopper Panel, prize draws run by researchers that pay in Amazon credit, and scam warnings.
Those draws cause the confusion. Organisations unconnected to Amazon offer $10, $25 or $100 in gift card credit for their own questionnaires. The reward is Amazon; the survey is not.
Into that gap the impersonators moved. The Federal Trade Commission put numbers on it in October 2021: about 96,000 people reported being targeted by an Amazon impersonator between July 2020 and June 2021, losses passed $27 million, and the median individual loss was $1,000. Among the pitches the FTC named were texts saying the recipient had won a raffle for a free Amazon product, then asking for card details to cover postage.
Two sources that both ought to know disagree. The company's own scam-trends page, checked on 19 August 2026, lists fake order confirmations, refunds, recall notices, account warnings and job offers. It does not list prize or giveaway lures at all, though the FTC has documented them since 2021.

Does Amazon have a receipt survey?
No. There is no code on an Amazon invoice and no address to redeem one at. Every page presenting one describes something else, or nothing.
