MCDVoice is the most-searched McDonald's topic and the most misdescribed. It wants a 26-digit survey code from the middle of the receipt, and if that code has faded there is a second route in using the store number, date, time and order number. It is run by Service Management Group rather than by McDonald's directly, which is why it lives on mcdvoice.com and not on mcdonalds.com. There is a cap of five surveys per location per month.

Franchisees set their own prices within limits, which is why a Quarter Pounder meal can differ by a dollar or more between two restaurants a few miles apart. Airport, motorway and city-centre locations sit consistently above the national average. Breakfast items like the Egg McMuffin follow the same pattern, and app-only pricing is a separate layer again. Any single price you read online is a national average at best, and it is worth treating it that way rather than as a quote.
