Only Lowe's answers this on its own website. Amazon answers it inside an account and a prepaid card answers it at the issuer's, while Dollar General answers it at a counter and sells other companies' cards online.

Under the first card image, a card looking like this checks at any Dollar General location — no field to type into, no number to ring. Under the second sits a link to dollargeneral.myretailcard.com and a note that bulk orders go through DG Charged sales on 877-797-2959. The only telephone number the company publishes about gift cards sells them wholesale.
Search the same question and the answers diverge. One gift-card aggregator gives 844-601-8030 and lists three routes to a balance: by phone, online or in store. Three further aggregators repeat it, one adding an address on a www2 subdomain ending in .aspx that stopped resolving years ago. A fifth returns "Merchant Number Not Found" and says in store only, matching the company. A consumer-finance guide, which reports phoning stores in three states, gives $5 to $250 denominations with no expiry or fees.
Whose card it is matters more. The company's own gift card category lists roughly 40 brands — Google Play, Vanilla Visa, Roblox, Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Amazon, Home Depot — and no Dollar General card, because that one is sold at the register.
