InformTarget Not Working — Which Number, Which Address

An InformTarget not working report is usually a number problem or a name problem. Receipts print a loyalty number close to the transaction number, and picking the wrong one produces the same rejection as a typo. The name problem is worse: a guide dated 2026 sends readers to an address that returned no DNS record when checked, so nothing can load from it. The genuine address resolves and blocks automated readers.

Go to www.informtarget.com The Target guest survey. Type the address rather than clicking a search result. HelpMeLogin is not affiliated with Target and cannot reset or resubmit an entry.

How to take the survey

  1. Check which number you are typing

Some receipts print a loyalty number beside the transaction number, and the entry screen refuses the wrong one in exactly the way it refuses a typo. Nothing on the error message distinguishes the two.

  2. Read every character as a digit

These fields are numeric. An apparent O is a zero and an apparent I is a one, which matters most on the faded middle of an older slip.

  3. Type the address rather than clicking a result

informtarget.com is the genuine portal. The imitation field around it is unusually crowded, and several near-miss domains carry a dollar figure in the name itself.

  4. Distrust an address you got from a guide

One page presenting itself as a 2026 guide names a survey domain that returned a name error when queried against public DNS, meaning it is not registered and no browser can reach it.

  5. Check the receipt date before retyping

Most sources put the window at seven days and at least one claims 30. Neither figure comes from Target, so a refusal on an older slip is plausible and unarguable.

  6. Stop waiting for something to arrive

No reward is disclosed for this survey. A page promising an instant gift card may be describing a past promotion, or nothing at all.

If something goes wrong

The transaction number is rejected

Cause
A misread character, or the loyalty number entered instead
Fix
Receipt numbers are numeric, so an apparent O is a zero. Check you are not using a RedCard or Target Circle number printed nearby.

It says my receipt has expired

Cause
More than seven days have passed since the visit
Fix
Most sources agree on seven days and at least one claims 30. Neither comes from Target, so do the survey promptly next time.

The address I was given will not load

Cause
At least one 2026 guide names a domain with no DNS record
Fix
It is not registered and no browser can reach it. Type informtarget.com into the address bar instead.

It says I have already entered

Cause
Entry limits are reported inconsistently
Fix
Guides publish once a day, once a month and unlimited with a fresh receipt. Whichever the survey enforces is the real one.

I finished and no gift card arrived

Cause
No reward is disclosed for this survey by Target
Fix
Pages promising an instant $25 card may describe a past promotion or nothing at all. Whatever appears on screen at entry is the only current source.

A page wants payment to release my prize

Cause
No legitimate survey charges a fee to release a reward
Fix
Close it. The genuine survey asks about your visit and never for card details.

What’s fixed, and what actually varies

The mechanical part of this is diagnosable. The reward part is not, because nothing about it has ever been published.

Fixed

  • Entry opens on a store number, a transaction number and a date of purchase
  • informtarget.com resolves and serves a robots file blocking automated readers
  • Stores are company-operated from Minneapolis, Minnesota, so terms do not vary by location
  • The survey runs in English and Spanish, taking five to ten minutes
  • Target's help centre covers nine topics and none of them is the survey
  • No official rules and no sweepstakes document for this survey could be reached

Varies

  • The window, given as 7 days by most sources and 30 by at least one
  • The entry limit, published as once a day, once a month and unlimited
  • The reward, undisclosed and claimed anywhere between $25 and $1,500
  • Which address a given guide sends you to, since at least one names a domain that does not exist

Work from the paper outwards. Confirm the three numbers, then the address you typed, then the date. Beyond those, no reachable document exists to check anything against.

How Target compares

Three retail surveys and three different first obstacles.

ChainCommonest rejectionFallback if it failsWhat finishing pays
TargetLoyalty number typed for the transaction numberNone documentedUndisclosed
KrogerA blank page with scripting offStore number, date and time50 fuel points, guides only
Lowe'sA misread digit in a long numeric IDA posted cardOne place in a monthly draw

Receipt layouts and entry screens change without notice. The screen in front of you overrides this table.

Kroger and Lowe's both leave a second route open when the first one fails, one on the form and one through the post. Target leaves neither, so a refusal at the entry screen is genuinely the end of it.

The number beside the number, and the address that does not exist

Two very different failures dominate here, and only one of them is your fault.

The first happens on the receipt. Entry needs a store number, a transaction number and a date, all printed at the top, and some slips carry a loyalty number in the same block. Picking the wrong one produces exactly the rejection a typo produces, and nothing in the error message tells the two apart. Since the fields are numeric throughout, the other half of this failure is character-level: an apparent O is a zero, an apparent I is a one, and the middle of an older slip is where both go wrong.

The second failure arrives before the receipt is ever opened. Checked on 19 August 2026, a page presenting itself as a 2026 guide to this survey ranked in search while describing entry at a domain that returned a name error when queried against public DNS. Not registered, unreachable by any browser, and described in detail anyway. A reader following it concludes the survey is broken, when the survey was never there.

The genuine address resolves normally and serves a robots file blocking automated readers, which means no outside page can quote its live wording, this one included. That limitation is worth stating plainly rather than hiding, because it is also why the reward figures in circulation have gone unchecked for so long.

Which brings the third complaint, the one that cannot be fixed. Nothing arriving after a completed survey is the expected outcome rather than a fault, because no reward has ever been disclosed. Read on 25 August 2026, Target's help centre covered nine topics and the survey was not among them, so there is no page to escalate to and nothing to quote back.

Questions people ask

Why is my Target survey number being rejected?

Usually a misread character or a loyalty number entered in place of the transaction number. The fields are numeric, so read an apparent O as a zero.

Which numbers does the survey actually want?

The store number, the transaction number and the date of purchase, all printed at the top of the receipt.

The address I was sent to will not load

At least one guide dated 2026 names a domain that returned no DNS record, so nothing can load from it. Type informtarget.com yourself.

How long is a receipt good for?

Seven days by most accounts and 30 by at least one. Neither figure comes from Target, so treat it as seven and enter promptly.

It says I have already entered

Entry limits are reported as once a day, once a month and unlimited with a new receipt. The survey enforces whichever is current, and the guides disagree.

I finished and nothing happened

That is expected. No reward is disclosed for this survey, so completion may produce nothing at all and no page will explain why.

Can I report the problem to Target?

The help centre covers nine topics and the survey is not one of them, so there is no dedicated route. Ordinary contact channels on target.com still take a comment.

Is informtarget.com definitely the right site?

It is the genuine portal, and it resolved when checked. It also blocks automated readers, so treat every outside description of it as second-hand, this one included.
