3 tiers, one published price: a $4 breakfast deal, a $5 floor and an Under $3 ceiling.
McDonald's McValue prices divide into three tiers on the company's own deals page: The Under $3 Menu, $4 Meal Deals: Breakfast, and Meal Deals starting at $5. Only the middle tier prints a figure on a product page, a flat $4 that appears on two of them. The four builds listed here were recorded between $4.00 and $5.00, with calorie totals running from 545 to 990.

If something goes wrong
An Under $3 Menu item cost more than $3
- Cause
- The tier is a ceiling McDonald's asserts rather than a price it prints. Recorded typical figures put a McDouble at $3.89 and a McChicken at $3.59, both above the ceiling they are filed under.
- Fix
- Check the McValue section of the app for that restaurant, where participating items show their local price.
The deal disappeared on a delivery order
- Cause
- McValue carries its own footnote: prices and participation may vary, and the platform excludes McDelivery. Delivery menus are priced separately in any case.
- Fix
- Order for collection or at the counter where a McValue price matters.
The $5 tier costs more than $5
- Cause
- The heading reads Meal Deals starting at $5, which sets a floor. Neither build page carries a figure, and roughly 95% of US restaurants are franchised.
- Fix
- Compare the deal with its four items priced separately, which came to about $11 at typical August 2026 figures.
The breakfast deal vanished mid-morning
- Cause
- The $4 tier is breakfast-only and ends when the restaurant switches menus, at a time each operator sets for itself.
- Fix
- Order before the changeover, or move to the lunch tier, which runs to late night.
Three tiers, one printed price
McValue is the umbrella rather than a menu. Its section of the deals page divides into exactly three parts: The Under $3 Menu, described there as lots of choices, $4 Meal Deals: Breakfast, and Meal Deals starting at $5: Lunch to late night. A footnote runs beneath the lot, saying that prices and participation may vary and that McDelivery is excluded. The full-menu version splits the Under $3 section again, into a breakfast half and a lunch and dinner half.
Only one of the three tiers prints a number where a customer can see it. The Sausage Biscuit Meal Deal and The Sausage McMuffin Meal Deal both show $4 on their own product pages, and the same figure heads their section of the deals page. That makes the $4 breakfast tier the strongest first-party price McDonald's publishes in the US, and it is worth stating plainly, because the rest of this site has to work from recorded figures.
The $5 tier behaves differently. Its heading is a floor, its two builds are The McChicken Meal Deal and The McDouble Meal Deal, and neither page carries a price at all. Both were opened and checked. Checking against published US prices recorded $5.00 for each, and McDonald's counts both at 990 calories, since a McChicken and a McDouble are 390 apiece and the other three items in each tray are identical.
The Under $3 Menu is the tier most worth testing, because a ceiling invites arithmetic. Ten items sit inside it. At breakfast: Sausage Biscuit, Sausage McMuffin, Sausage Burrito, Hash Browns and McCafé Premium Roast Coffee. For the rest of the day: McDouble, McChicken, 4 Piece Chicken McNuggets, Small World Famous Fries and a medium Coca-Cola. Recorded typical figures put six of them comfortably inside the ceiling, with a Sausage Biscuit at $2.43, Hash Browns at $2.79, a Sausage Burrito at $2.99 or $3.19 and Small World Famous Fries at $2.89. Two sit outside it: a McDouble was recorded at $3.59 or $3.89 typically and a McChicken at $3.59 or $3.79. The 4 Piece Chicken McNuggets straddles the line, recorded between $2.79 and $3.19.
That mismatch is not evidence of bad faith on anyone's part. Under $3 pricing applies where a restaurant participates, recorded figures cover restaurants whether they participate or not, and about 95% of US restaurants are franchised. What it does mean is that anyone walking in expecting a McDouble under $3 may be disappointed, and that a tier named for a price is a weaker promise than a page printing one.
Calories across the section run from 545 to 990. The breakfast builds are light because they pair the sandwich with Hash Browns at 140 and a small coffee at 5, giving 145 of sides against the 590 a burger tray carries in the Extra Value Meals line. Figures on this page were read from McDonald's own pages and recorded from published US listings on 19 August 2026.

Questions people ask
What is McValue?
McDonald's umbrella for its value pricing, split on the deals page into The Under $3 Menu, $4 Meal Deals: Breakfast and Meal Deals starting at $5. A footnote adds that prices and participation may vary and that McDelivery is excluded.
Which McValue deal has a published price?
The $4 breakfast tier. Both The Sausage Biscuit Meal Deal and The Sausage McMuffin Meal Deal print $4 on their own pages, which is rare enough on this menu to be the headline of the platform.
What is on the Under $3 Menu?
Ten items: Sausage Biscuit, Sausage McMuffin, Sausage Burrito, Hash Browns and McCafé Premium Roast Coffee at breakfast, then McDouble, McChicken, 4 Piece Chicken McNuggets, Small World Famous Fries and a medium Coca-Cola later in the day.
Is everything on the Under $3 Menu actually under $3?
Not everywhere. Recorded typical figures put a McDouble at $3.89 and a McChicken at $3.59, above the ceiling the tier is named for, while six of the ten sit comfortably inside it.
Does McValue apply to delivery?
No. The platform's own footnote excludes McDelivery, and delivery menus carry their own pricing in any case.
Is this page an official McDonald's price list?
No. HelpMeLogin is independent of McDonald's. The $4 figures and the calorie totals came from the company's own pages; the $5 figures were recorded from published US listings and checked on 19 August 2026.
Can this site tell me the price at my local McDonald's?
No. Roughly 95% of US restaurants are franchised and participation in any tier is optional, which is what the company's own rider means. The McDonald's app answers it for a chosen restaurant.
