Six pieces of chicken, according to the one listing that priced it. Eight pieces with two large sides and four biscuits, according to a different table on the same publisher's site carrying the same twenty-dollar price and the same brand name. Both descriptions cannot be right.

No company page settles it, because KFC's own published sitemap has no six-piece Taste of KFC deal. It carries the two-piece and the four-piece and stops there.

Is it worth it

Twenty dollars is the only figure anybody recorded, and everything uncertain about this row concerns what the twenty dollars buys.

At six pieces the deal works out at $3.33 each. That is the worst rate on the Taste of KFC ladder: the four-piece came in between $2.25 and $2.50 a piece and the two-piece at roughly $2.50. A ladder that gets cheaper per piece and then sharply dearer at the top is unusual, and it is the kind of pattern that usually means a row has been mislabelled.

Spread across eight pieces the same twenty dollars comes to $2.50 each, which puts the deal level with the two-piece and slightly behind the four-piece at its lower reading. That version fits the ladder. The eight-piece description also carries sides and biscuits, which the six-piece description does not mention, and a twenty-dollar family bundle is a more familiar shape than a twenty-dollar six-piece.

Weighing those, the eight-piece reading is the likelier description of whatever costs twenty dollars, and the six-piece row looks like a piece count that has drifted. Proving it is not possible from outside, and the row is published here as recorded rather than corrected.

Provenance is the other half of the problem. Four rows across this brand appear on third-party menus without a company address, and this is one of them. A row that KFC does not list under that name, priced once by a publisher who describes it two ways, is the thinnest kind of evidence in the project.

For a customer the useful instruction is to ignore the name and count the chicken. A twenty-dollar deal exists, in some form, and the piece count is the number to confirm before paying.

Calories add nothing here. No first-party figure could be read for any item in this brand, because the pages that would carry them assemble in the browser.
