Bread Financial owns two separately chartered banks, and the difference between them is the single most useful fact on this page: Comenity Bank is chartered in Wilmington, Delaware, while Comenity Capital Bank is chartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. They share a brand, a website design and a customer-service style. They are not the same legal entity, and a cardholder agreement is with one of them, never both.
