- HelpMeLogin is not GoTo, not LogMeIn and not a meeting host. This site runs no meetings, holds no credentials and cannot get anybody into a call.
- Take a download only from the page you reached by typing the address yourself. Meeting-software installers are a well-worn way of delivering something else, and "install this to join" is a sentence people obey without reading.
- If you can join in the browser, do that and install nothing. The option is on the page, right beside the download, and using it leaves nothing running on your machine afterwards.
- An invitation from a stranger is still a link from a stranger. The brand printed on it says nothing at all about who sent it.
The GoToMeeting join page still works. Checked on 4 September 2026, gotomeeting.com/join redirected to global.gotomeeting.com/join, which offers "Join in this browser" beside "Download the app", under GoTo branding. So the address in the old post is right and the company name in it is wrong: LogMeIn rebranded as GoTo on 2 February 2022, keeping GoToMeeting as the product name. You do not need GoTo Opener.

What you need
9 itemsHow it works
Use the link you were sent, or type the join address
gotomeeting.com/join resolved on 4 September 2026 and handed the browser to global.gotomeeting.com/join. An address in an invitation from several years ago is very likely still correct.
Take the browser option if you would rather not install anything
The join page presents "Join in this browser" alongside "Download the app". Both are on the screen at the same time, so a locked-down work laptop is no barrier to getting into the call.
Ignore the company-name mismatch
Older invitations and internal instructions often say LogMeIn. That company rebranded as GoTo on 2 February 2022 and kept GoToMeeting as the product name, so an invitation naming the older company is stale wording rather than a warning sign.
Go back to the host for anything the page cannot fix
No phone number was published on anything read here. Whoever sent the invitation can send it again, and that is faster than hunting for a support line nobody prints.
If something goes wrong
The invitation says LogMeIn and the website says GoTo
- Cause
- The company renamed itself on 2 February 2022
- Fix
- Both names point at one business. GoToMeeting stayed as the product name through the rebrand, so an older invitation is stale rather than fraudulent.
It wants me to download GoTo Opener and I cannot install software
- Cause
- The join flow offers the launcher prominently
- Fix
- Look for "Join in this browser" on the same screen. It sits alongside "Download the app", so nothing has to be installed for you to get in.
The address changed to a longer one after I clicked
- Cause
- A redirect the operator runs
- Fix
- gotomeeting.com/join lands on global.gotomeeting.com/join. Arriving at a longer hostname is the expected behaviour here.
Searching for LogMeIn support finds nothing current
- Cause
- The corporate name was retired
- Fix
- Search the current name instead. Anything still published under the older company name predates 2 February 2022.
I want a phone number for GoToMeeting
- Cause
- None was published on anything read
- Fix
- Undisclosed as at 4 September 2026, so this page prints none. Whoever sent the invitation is the practical route back into the meeting.
A site I have never heard of offered me a GoToMeeting installer
- Cause
- Meeting software is a well-used delivery route for other things
- Fix
- Type gotomeeting.com/join yourself and take the download from wherever that lands, or take the browser option and install nothing at all.
What’s fixed, and what actually varies
The address and the company name are settled. What appears on your screen when you click is not.
Fixed
- gotomeeting.com/join redirects to global.gotomeeting.com/join
- LogMeIn rebranded as GoTo on 2 February 2022
- GoToMeeting was retained as the product name
- "Join in this browser" is offered alongside "Download the app"
Varies
- Whether your organisation has moved to a different meeting tool altogether
- Whether an old invitation still carries LogMeIn wording
- Whether a managed laptop permits the GoTo Opener install at all
- What a host configured for one particular meeting, which nobody publishes
Open the join page and read the two options in front of you. The browser route is the one that needs nothing installed.
How compares
Four cases where a name changed and the address did not.
| Chain | The name on the old page | What it is called now | Where it actually lives |
|---|---|---|---|
| GoToMeeting | GoToMeeting by LogMeIn | GoToMeeting by GoTo, since 2 February 2022 | gotomeeting.com/join, unchanged |
| HSA Bank | HSA Bank, under Webster | A division of Santander Bank, N.A. since 20 August 2026 | account.hsabank.com, unchanged |
| Robinhood Gold Card | X1 Card | Robinhood Gold Card, since 2023 | robinhood.com/creditcard |
| Shellpoint | Shellpoint | NewRez LLC d/b/a Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing, NMLS #3013 | signin.shellpointmtg.com |
Checked on 4 September 2026 against first-party pages. In three of these four the address the reader already had still worked on the day it was tested.
A company can rename itself without changing a single thing anyone types, which is how the wrong company name survives in instructions for years.
The one page here where the address was never the problem
Almost every page in this batch exists because an address moved. This one is the mirror image. gotomeeting.com/join has gone nowhere: typed on 4 September 2026, it redirected to global.gotomeeting.com/join and served a join screen. What went stale is the company name wrapped around it.
LogMeIn rebranded as GoTo on 2 February 2022. The product kept its own name, so GoToMeeting is still GoToMeeting, and an invitation written years ago still points somewhere that works. That produces an odd sort of error: instructions that are operationally correct and factually out of date at once. Anybody following them gets into the meeting and comes away believing they deal with a company that has not carried that name since 2022.
Then there is GoTo Opener, which is what the old post's title fixated on. It is the desktop launcher the join flow offers, and there was a stretch of years when downloading something felt compulsory to anyone who had been asked to join a call at short notice. It never was. The join page presents "Join in this browser" beside "Download the app", and for somebody on a locked-down work laptop, or short of time, or simply unwilling to install a launcher for one twenty-minute call, that first option is the entire answer. Saying so is most of what a page like this owes its reader.
No phone number turned up. Better to state that flatly than to fill the gap with a plausible-looking number, and the practical route back into a meeting is the person who sent the invitation, because only they can issue another one.
Right address, wrong company, and an install that was never compulsory. Three findings, and the old page had to break for none of them.
Questions people ask
Does gotomeeting.com/join still work?
Yes. On 4 September 2026 it redirected to global.gotomeeting.com/join and served a join screen. The address in older instructions is still the right one.
Is LogMeIn now GoTo?
Yes, from 2 February 2022. GoToMeeting was kept as the product name, which is exactly why the mismatch is easy to miss.
Do I have to install GoTo Opener?
No. The join page offers "Join in this browser" alongside "Download the app", so getting in without installing anything is one of the two routes on the screen.
What is GoTo Opener?
The desktop launcher the join flow offers. It is one way in, sitting beside the browser option rather than replacing it.
Why does the address change after I click the link?
Because gotomeeting.com/join redirects to global.gotomeeting.com/join. A longer hostname at the far end is normal behaviour here.
What is the GoToMeeting phone number?
Undisclosed. Nothing readable published one, so no number appears on this page. Go back to whoever sent the invitation.
My meeting invitation is years old. Is the link still valid?
The address in it very likely is. Whether that particular meeting still exists is a question only the host can settle.
