- Verify the login address on edd.ca.gov before you use it. Open the state's own site in a new tab, typed rather than clicked, and find the debit-card pages. What EDD publishes there beats this page, a search result and any emailed link.
- HelpMeLogin is not EDD, Money Network or a bank. No claim is looked up here, no payment released, no card replaced.
- EDD and Money Network do not text or ring asking for a card number, PIN or one-time code. Benefit-card phishing copies the state's wording closely. Hang up, then dial 1-800-684-7051 from the number printed on your card.
- Nobody charges a fee to release a benefit payment. A page demanding money, a gift card or a crypto transfer first is neither the state nor the card programme.
- The Bank of America page still lists a phone number. It reaches a closed-account line.
The EDD card login is no longer at Bank of America. California's Employment Development Department moved the programme to Money Network, and 15 April 2024 was the last day the Bank of America debit card worked. bankofamerica.com/eddcard now states that all prepaid debit card accounts have been closed. The current sign-in sits on everywherepaycard.com, which is neither edd.ca.gov nor moneynetwork.com. EDD publishes that address itself, and edd.ca.gov is where to confirm it.

What you need
12 itemsHow it works
Check the address on edd.ca.gov first
Open edd.ca.gov in a new tab, typed rather than clicked, and find the debit-card pages. Compare the address the state gives against the one below. That comparison beats anything else here, because a state website cannot be bought by whoever registered a lookalike domain last week.
Expect a login on a domain that names nobody
The published address is mbd.everywherepaycard.com/mbd/loginEDD.gft?orgId=88474. It mentions neither California nor Money Network, and it ends in a file extension and a numeric organisation ID. It reads like the thing you were warned about, and EDD publishes it anyway.
Stop trying the Bank of America card
15 April 2024 was the last day it could be used in the transition, and bankofamerica.com/eddcard now says all prepaid debit card accounts have been closed.
Ring the number that belongs to the live card
1-800-684-7051 is the published line for the EDD Money Network card. 866-213-4074 is the Bank of America line, answering about closed accounts rather than a balance you can spend.
Keep the cardholder site and the sign-in apart
moneynetwork.com/edd is the cardholder site. The sign-in EDD links to sits on everywherepaycard.com. Two domains, one programme, which is exactly why this is confusing.
If something goes wrong
The login address does not mention EDD or Money Network
- Cause
- The programme runs on Money Network's Everywhere Paycard platform
- Fix
- EDD publishes that address itself. Confirm it on edd.ca.gov, then type it rather than searching for it.
My Bank of America EDD card is declined everywhere
- Cause
- The transition ended on 15 April 2024
- Fix
- bankofamerica.com/eddcard states all prepaid debit card accounts have been closed. A Money Network card replaced it.
The Bank of America page still looks like a live service page
- Cause
- It was left up as a notice and still carries a phone number
- Fix
- 866-213-4074 handles closed accounts. The live card line is 1-800-684-7051. At the CFPB, Bank of America's prepaid agreements are withdrawn while Money Network's at Pathward, N.A. are active.
I got a text about my EDD card asking me to confirm details
- Cause
- Benefit-card phishing mimics the state's own wording
- Fix
- Neither EDD nor Money Network asks for a PIN or one-time code by text. Ring 1-800-684-7051 using the number on the card.
I cannot tell which Money Network address is right
- Cause
- The cardholder site and the sign-in sit on different domains
- Fix
- moneynetwork.com/edd is the cardholder site. The sign-in EDD links to is on everywherepaycard.com. Check both against edd.ca.gov.
What’s fixed, and what actually varies
Almost everything here is settled and published. What is unsettled is money left behind on the old card.
Fixed
- Money Network is the provider and Pathward, N.A. the issuing bank
- 15 April 2024 was the last day the Bank of America card worked
- bankofamerica.com/eddcard says the prepaid debit card accounts have been closed
- edd.ca.gov publishes the current sign-in address
Varies
- Whether a balance left on an old card was swept, transferred or returned, which the closed-account page does not state
- Which of the two numbers you need, one for the live card and one for closed accounts
- How EDD words and places the link on its own pages
- Whether a bookmark saved before 2024 still points anywhere useful
edd.ca.gov is the check. The department publishes the debit-card address on its own site, and nobody registering a lookalike domain can edit that.
How compares
Three benefit and payroll cards where the brand on the plastic is not who answers.
| Chain | What the card says | Who actually holds it | Where the login is |
|---|---|---|---|
| EDD card | Bank of America, on the old plastic | Money Network, issued by Pathward, N.A. | everywherepaycard.com, published by EDD |
| PNC PayCard | PNC, in the domain itself | Undisclosed on the site | pncpaycard.com, branded Money Network |
| HSA Bank | HSA Bank | A Santander division since 20 August 2026 | account.hsabank.com, unchanged |
| Prepaid Visa cards | A network logo and a retailer | An issuer in small print | The address printed on the card |
Every row checked on 4 September 2026. Programmes change hands, so read your own card and confirm with whoever issued it.
The EDD row is the hardest, because the correct answer looks the most suspicious. A state agency publishing a login on a third-party domain leaves a cardholder no sanity check except the agency itself.
The address that looks like a phishing site and is not one
Everything about the current EDD card sign-in looks wrong, and it is right.
The address EDD publishes is mbd.everywherepaycard.com/mbd/loginEDD.gft?orgId=88474. It carries an unguessable subdomain, a file extension out of the last decade, and a numeric organisation ID, and it names neither the State of California nor Money Network. Hand that string to somebody trained to spot a phishing page and they would flag it, applying the right rule to the wrong case.
So here is why it is genuine, and how to prove that without relying on this page. Money Network runs prepaid programmes on a platform branded Everywhere Paycard. California's Employment Development Department contracted the benefit card to it and links the sign-in from its own website. The check follows: open edd.ca.gov yourself, typed rather than clicked, find the debit-card pages, and read the address the state gives. If it matches the string above, it is the real one. If it does not, believe the state.
That instruction is the point of this page. HelpMeLogin has no relationship with EDD, cannot see a claim and cannot release a payment. What it can do is name the source that outranks it.
The second trap is quieter. bankofamerica.com/eddcard is still there, still formatted like a service page, still listing a phone number. Its text now says all prepaid debit card accounts have been closed, but somebody scanning for a login sees layout before sentences. The regulatory record settles it: at the CFPB, Bank of America's prepaid card agreements are withdrawn across the board, covering Government Payments, CashPay, Commercial, Emergency and the one titled Money Network – Bank of America. The Money Network programmes issued through Pathward, N.A. show as active. The old card stopped on 15 April 2024.
Questions people ask
Where is the EDD card login now?
On everywherepaycard.com. The full address EDD publishes is mbd.everywherepaycard.com/mbd/loginEDD.gft?orgId=88474.
That domain looks fake. How do I check it?
Type edd.ca.gov into a new tab yourself and find the debit-card pages. The address published there beats this page and any search result.
Does my Bank of America EDD card still work?
No. 15 April 2024 was the last day it could be used, and bankofamerica.com/eddcard now says all prepaid debit card accounts have been closed.
Who issues the card now?
Pathward, N.A., with Money Network running the programme. Those agreements show active at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau while Bank of America's prepaid ones are withdrawn.
What number do I ring about the card?
1-800-684-7051 is the published line for the EDD Money Network card. Use the number printed on your own card if it differs.
Is moneynetwork.com/edd the same as the login?
Different pages. moneynetwork.com/edd is the cardholder site; the sign-in EDD links to sits on everywherepaycard.com.
Why did California change providers?
That reason is not stated in what EDD published. Its notice of 15 February 2024 names Money Network as the new provider and gives the cut-off date.
